Florida Cities Receive Top Rankings For Retirement, Foreign Investors and Tourism

Miami and South Beach has a long history of attraction from tourist, vacationers, second-home buyers and international investors who chose the coastal city as a destination for leisure living, recreational activities, and its plentiful amenities.

From a list compiled of the 150 largest U.S. cities across 40 key metrics ranging from the cost of living to retired taxpayer-friendliness to the availability of recreational activities, Miami, and the Beaches was ranked the third most popular destination for retirement. The State of Florida was ranked as having the highest number of visitors of any six months in Florida’s history with 60.7 million visitors.

In another analysis of major cities, Miami came in 7th of major cities and 9th overall, 8th overall for economic potential, 4th for connectivity, and 8th for business friendliness.  Miami also ranked No. 36 in affordability, No. 4 in activities, No. 117 in the quality of life and No. 29 in health care.
